Although penis pumps have been growing in popularity, we at Penis Health Store find that there are still many questions out there about what they do, how they work, and who should use them. So, we created this handy guide to answer some of your most burning questions about pumping.
WHAT ARE PENIS PUMPS
Penis pumps are suction devices which draw blood into the penis using a sealed suction device. The chamber fits over the penis, a seal makes for an airtight fit, then air is gradually drawn out of the device by a nozzle attached to a squeeze ball or handle. Some are even battery operated and run mechanically. The air vacuum creates suction on the penis, drawing blood into the vessels and muscles, allowing the penis to become engorged temporarily.
DOES PUMPING MAKE YOUR PENIS BIGGER?
We are going to be totally honest. There is NO reliable, non-invasive, safe way to make a penis permanently bigger. Pumps will make your penis look noticeably bigger when you use them but the results are temporary.
THEN WHY USE PENIS PUMPS?
Drawing blood into the penis, even temporarily, can make it more responsive to touch and more sensitive overall, which can be incredibly enjoyable. Pumps can also be a wonderful non-pharmaceutical tool for those experiencing Erectile Dysfunction (ED). If you have trouble getting hard or staying hard, a pump will bring that much needed blood flow into the penis and using a cock ring along with it will keep that blood there for intercourse.
HOW DO I USE A PENIS PUMP?
Read the directions on your pump carefully before trying it for the first time. It is important for a pump to have a quick release nozzle and you should know how to operate that. A quick release nozzle will quickly break the vacuum if you feel any pain or discomfort. Once you are familiar with how your pump works, place it over your penis and go slow. Take stock of how your body is feeling throughout the process. Do not use it for more than 20 minutes at a time.
If you are having trouble getting the appropriate suction, shaving the area where the pump attaches can help create that vacuum you want. If you are someone who experiences erectile dysfunction (ED), you can use a cock ring at the base of the pump so that once the pump is removed, the cock ring can keep the blood in your penis and allow you to have intercourse.
ARE THERE RISKS IN USING PENIS PUMPS?
Because you are creating suction, there is a risk of bruising or hickeys on the skin where the seal was attached. Overuse of pumps can also cause tearing of the skin or burst blood vessels, which is why it is so important to go slow and pay attention to your body.
WHO SHOULD NOT USE PENIS PUMPS?
If you have any of the following conditions, please speak with your doctor before trying to use a penis pump:
1- Broken skin, sores, sexually transmitted infections.
2- If you bleed easily or have a blood clotting disorder.
3- If you take anticoagulants, or blood thinning medication, including daily aspirin.
4- If you are diabetic or suffer from vascular disease which can damage your blood vessels.
5- If you have thin, brittle skin that tears easily. This can also be caused by certain medications.
